Children, ages 6-11, mature in Christ-likeness by growing in wisdom, stature and favor with God and man following the admonition in Luke 2:52.
Encourage children to recognize these virtues in the lives of men, women and children from the Bible.
Present age-appropriate activities enabling children to recognize and adopt virtues into their daily lives.
Teach the importance of Prayer and Scripture memorization as a means of growing toward Christian maturity.
A holistic spiritual growth in the child accomplished by providing and implementing a curriculum that inspires kids to grow and own a personal faith in Jesus Christ, create a caring community, and take steps in recognizing the value of involving children in ministry projects and the leadership skills such projects require.
Being obedient to God’s mandate to love God and others as stated in Matthew 22:37-39. Jesus replied, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’.”
We seek to love God and love others by:
Using the gifts present in our church to reach out to others in the community. [1 Corinthians 12: 4-7]
Being service-minded: seeking the mind of Christ, who humbled himself to the point of the cross [Philippians 2]
Seeking justice as a spiritual discipline [Isaiah 58: 6-7] and desiring it as righteousness [Micah 6:8]
Acting as preservatives through the sharing of the hope that is in Christ and giving all glory to God for the work we do. [Matthew 5:13-16]
A church that does not shy away from the discomfort of reaching outside of our body of believers.
The hope we have experienced in Christ should not be kept to ourselves and that our identity in Christ ought to move us to action with an outward focus.
We envision an increasing number of people who desire to see the Gospel spread and move out to share their faith.
We desire to see
Prayer as a primary action for response to needs, joining God’s workings and effective ministry
Greater involvement through going personally, financial support and active prayer
The spread of the Gospel locally, regionally, nationally and internationally
Willingness to partner with other Allegheny District churches to start and/or nurture church plants
The provision of essential education and resources for joyful service
Commitment to the Evangelical Free Church of America and its mission work
We exist to:
Express love for God and others [Matthew 22:37-39]
Learn from our missionaries [Acts 1:8]
Encourage direct involvement [Isaiah 1:17, Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 14:21-23]
Inviting others to live a radical life of service that reaches beyond the walls of the church while relating to needs whether spiritual, physical, emotional or social [Micah 6:8]
MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is a non-denominational, Christian organization dedicated to meeting the needs of mothers of young children. The women in MOPS come from different backgrounds, yet have similar needs and shared desire to be the best moms they can be.
Being a mom is a challenging and
sometimes lonely job.
If you are a mother of a preschooler
(pregnancy through kindergarten)
and long for some "grown-up" time,
then Sarver MOPS welcomes you to join us!
We meet at the Christ Community Fellowship building on Singleton Road in Sarver, PA.
The children, ages, infant to 6 ½, start learning about God, Jesus and the Bible in a safe and loving environment. For these young ones to learn Jesus loves them and does incredible things.
Present age appropriate learning material and activities to help the children start to learn and grasp an understanding of God and the Bible.
Show them the importance of prayer.
Help them feel safe and comfortable.
Children are willing and ready to learn about God. They are excited about it. We want them to enjoy their start in understanding and adopt Christian character traits as their own. We also want to prepare them to be in the church setting so as they move on they will be comfortable in their participation at Christ Community Fellowship.
Providing honest, deep and attractive worship services in a variety of settings.
Loving God with everything we are. (Matt. 22:36-40)
Live a life according to the call that Christ has given us—a life of righteousness and grace. (Eph. 4)
Support one another in love, grace, and support by encouraging each other to grow in our relationship with God and the gifts and talents he has blessed us with. [1 Cor. 12:12]
