Christ Invites the Weary–Us–to Himself [Matthew 11:28-30]
In Matthew 11, Jesus calls the masses to repent, to come to Him. “Don’t arrogantly reject God’s message because His messengers don’t meet your approval (vs. 16-19). If some of the cities God destroyed had seen half what you have, they would have repented long ago. Reject Me, and God will rightfully judge you–worse than Sodom (vs. 20-24). ‘Thank you, Father, that you reveal Me to the humble.’ Anyone who wants relief from the weariness from dead religion or life should come to Me. I give life, and peace to all who yield to, and learn from Me. Because I am humble and meek, what I will ask of you will be ‘just right,’ and not burdensome” (vs. 25-30).
