Welcome to CCF’s website. Take some time to look around, and get to know us. Feel free to send us any questions. We hope to get to know you as well.
I am honored to pastor the fine folks of CCF. I have been seeking to “equip the saints” here since April of 2012 (see Eph. 4:11-16). They make it a joy.
Robin, my long-suffering wife, and I are both from south of Atlanta, GA. Raised in Christian homes, we both received Christ as youth. We met at a Junior college in Morrow, GA; from which we both matriculated. (That’s a kollage word for graduated!) I went on to earn a degree in Bible and Missions from Columbia Bible College, in SC (now CIU). After serving as an assistant pastor in Brooklyn, NY for three years, we moved to the Chicago area. I received an M.Div. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (now TIU).
After two years as a church planter in Waukegan, IL, I served as pastor of Lake Region Bible Church in Round Lake, IL for 10 years. All five of our kids were born in Illinois (don’t pronounce the “s”!). Just before 9/11 (Sept. 11, 2001), we moved to TN, where I pastored for 10 years. While there, I also did volunteer work as a Baseball Chaplain and columnist for a local paper. It was fun to combine these loves. We were also involved in Boy Scouts. Ask me to show you a sheepshank man of war; it’s a really cool knot.
We are now enjoying the Pittsburgh area. Yes, I am now a Steelers, Pirates and Pens fan. Truth be told, I also still follow Da Bears, Braves, Cubs, White Sox, Blackhawks and, if pushed, the Mets. Don’t get me started on SEC football; braggin’s a sin.
I have had the honor of traveling to and ministering in India, Mexico, Costa Rica, Haiti, Peru and Italy. (Does West Virginia count?) I enjoy speaking at youth camps. Not sure the campers like it, but those are mere details.
A sense of humor helps me handle (avoid?) life. Robin and the Lord handle the rest. I am easily one of the top 1000 preachers you have ever heard. Who after all has heard 1000 preachers and lived to tell about it? (Yes, that was a joke.)
If you have any questions, or free Pirates tickets, get in touch. If God so leads, let’s serve Him and others together.
Honored to serve Him,
Kerry S. Doyal
PS To further connect, hit me up on Facebook. If you want to read a few things I have written, feel free to “Google me”. I also have a blog site out there somewhere. More pesky details…
